Established in 1965, Algoma University is proud of its unique ways, and it’s this drive that makes Algoma the right place for students, their future, and their mark. Students are looking for a university that understands them. A place that will leverage their career intentions and be their partner along the way.
A university where faculty are ready to share their knowledge and convictions and direct students on the right course and where graduates have carved a path to follow. From it's student-centred approach to learning, to one-on-one interactions with faculty, to the endless opportunities to get involved on- and off-campus.
At Algoma, students can leave their mark on campus and make a difference in their community.
This is an exciting period for both the City of Brampton and for Algoma University as they work in partnership with other stakeholders to expand post-secondary options for the citizens of Brampton and the International community.
To respond to the City of Brampton's growing needs, Algoma University proposes expanding its academic offerings by creating a Centre for Social, Cultural & Economic Innovation in the heart of downtown Brampton. By Fall 2020, in addition to its School of Business & Economics, Algoma University will offer programs, degrees and certificates in Computer Science, Psychology, and Community Economic and Social Development, with additional programs to follow in 2023.
At Algoma University’s Centre for Social, Cultural & Economic Innovation, students will obtain an education that prepares them to contribute significantly to the Brampton community and beyond.
